2023 Dodgeball Australia Championships
The Dodgeball Australia Championships take place Saturday, September 2. This event is open to everyone from the Dodgeball community:
- Teams & Players wishing to take part in Cloth Dodgeball competition. New and experienced players are encouraged to be involved. New 6.5 inch Cloth balls to be used!
- Talent Identification for Australian Dodgeroos aspirants: This event will also act as part of the trial process (along with the weekly Open Sessions) for the Asian Championships in December. The Dodgeroos squads comprising of Men’s, Women’s and Mixed will be selected in early September. More info HERE.
DATE / TIME: Saturday, September 2 | Approx 11am – 6pm (further info under ‘Format’ sub-heading below)
VENUE: Ashburton Pool & Recreation Centre – 8 Warner Ave, Ashburton
BALL: New 6.5 inch Cloth ball (7-inch has been the standard size)
DIVISIONS:
MIXED – maximum of 4 male players on court, at any given time (6 players on court).
MEN’S & WOMEN’S – maximum of 5 players on court.
FORMAT: Round-robin games, followed by Finals. Dependent on the number of teams registered in each division, times below may slightly vary.
MEN’S & WOMEN’S: 11:30am – 2:30pm
MIXED: 2:30pm – 6pm
REGISTRATION | Team: Team Captain’s to submit and confirm their playing squad(s) in the form below. If still updating players, these players can be submitted after completing the form.
Team names must include a suburb, followed by an optional nickname: EG: South Morang Stingrays, Vermont Vipers, Greensborough Dodgers, Skye Rainbows etc.
REGISTRATION | Individual: Individual / Small Groups can register below, to be placed into a team.
REGISTRATION FEE:
$140 Per Team | Early-Bird Rego – Registered and paid by Friday, August 25
$160 Per Team | From August 26 onwards
REGISTRATION CUT-OFF:
Team & Individual Registrations close Wednesday, August 30.
