Women’s Dodgeroos Announce Leadership Team

The Women’s Australian Dodgeroos have announced their leadership team for the 2016 Dodgeball World Cup in Manchester, England.

Clare Spillane will continue her role as Women’s captain, after leading the team to victory in the 2015 Asian Dodgeball Championships in Melbourne.

By her side, Spillane will have Elli Darwinkel and Leanne Scott performing the roles as Co Vice-Captains.

Leading her nation into Manchester is a role Spillane is very much looking forward to.

‘I feel honoured to have been named captain of my country. It’s very exciting to work with such a talented group of girls and to be a part of the development and growth of women’s dodgeball’.

The women’s team begin their World Cup campaign against Egypt in their opening Group B match on April 16.
