TODAY Show Welcomes Australian Dodgeroos

The Australian Dodgeroos were special guests on Channel 9’s TODAY program on Tuesday morning.

With the 2016 Dodgeball World Cup fast approaching, the Dodgeroos were invited to give Australia a little insight into the world of dodgeball, and what to expect for the upcoming tournament in Manchester, from April 14 – 17. TODAY Show Pic 1

The Men’s and Women’s Dodgeroos qualified for the World Cup, by winning last year’s Asian Dodgeball Championships, hosted in Melbourne. The Mixed Dodgeroos, also crowned Asian champions, will be competing in the World Invitational mixed category, staged alongside the World Cup.

Co-captains of the Australian Mixed team, Brad Horsfall and Sesha Achilingam were interviewed by the TODAY team, including the charismatic Karl Stefanovic.

With a selection of Dodgeroos’ players warming up behind the camera, Karl proposed to challenge the Dodgeroos team in their Sydney studio later this month, to have a dodge-off warm-up game against the TODAY team in preparation for Manchester. Without hesitation, the offer was accepted!

Thank you to Channel 9 and the TODAY Show for having us on the program. We look forward to seeing our Australian stars lock horns with Karl and his crew.
