Clare Spillane To Lead Women’s Dodgeroos
Dodgeball Federation Australia is proud to announce Clare Spillane as the captain of the Chemist Warehouse Women’s Australian Dodgeroos team for the 2016 World Cup campaign in Manchester, England.
Women’s coach, Craig Payne has selected Clare to continue her captaincy role, following the successful 2015 Asian Dodgeball Championships on home soil – where Australia was victorious and subsequently earned direction qualification to next year’s World Cup in April.
Clare is thrilled at the opportunity to lead her country and is looking forward to working with her teammates over the coming months.
‘I feel honoured to have been named captain of my country. It’s very exciting to work with such a talented group of girls and to be a part of the development and growth of women’s dodgeball’.
Following the trial event and review of the video applications on October 30, 10 girls have been chosen for the final stage of selection.
