2025 VPL Registration
The 2025 Victorian Premier League (VPL) season is upon us. Acting as the official state league aligned with Dodgeball Australia, the VPL offers a premium Cloth Dodgeball competition.
The 2025 season also re-introduces the Dodgeball Victoria Cup (DV Cup), a tournament last held from 2017 – 19. In 2025, the DV Cup will act as a curtain-raiser to the VPL season, held on a single day (round-robin + knockout stages).
The VPL, together with its Clubs, is the stepping stone for players to hone and develop their skill-set, with a progressive pathway to representing the Australian Dodgeroos.
2025 SEASON INFO:
VENUE: Templestowe College
BALL: 7-inch Cloth – slightly smaller than the previous 7.5 inch ball (2015 – 22), easier to grip and throw.
NEW SEASON LAUNCH (KEY DATES):
DV Cup – Saturday, February 15
VPL Round 1 – Saturday, March 1 (Men’s, Women’s, Mixed – First Division)
VPL Round 4 – Saturday, April 19 (Opening Round of VPL 2 Mixed)
Finals Series – Saturday, September 20

DIVISIONS:

GAMES PER ROUND: 1 – 2 games per round, in each division.
COST:
$75 per game, per team (Men’s, Mixed)
$65 per game, per team (Women’s – 5 players on court)
FORMAT: Rounds will be hosted every 3 – 4 weeks on average, dependent on the number of teams in the competition.
DAY: Saturday’s
MULTIPLE TEAMS PARTICIPATION: Players are permitted to play for different teams in each division (max of 1 team per division)
TEAM / CLUB REGISTRATION: Teams / Clubs can register to play in multiple divisions if they wish.
If a Team / Club wants to play in both VPL Mixed & VPL2 Mixed, a maximum of 2 players from the first division team, can play for the second division team on the same match-day.
To register your Team / Club, Captains must select a suburb they wish to represent, along with a nickname (EG: Doncaster Ducks, Footscray Falcons, Hawthorn Hurricanes, Skye Rainbows, South Morang Stingrays, Vermont Vipers etc).

UNIFORM PACKAGES:
We have formed an exciting new partnership with Melbourne Merch, the official uniform supplier from 2025, for Major League Dodgeball and Dodgeball Australia.
See below the uniform packages for the 2025 VPL season. Each player can select their own package, with off court apparel customisable for each club (variety of colours to choose from, examples below).

Submit your order, design and any queries to the email above. If you have a ready-made design, ensure you have your file in the correct format for printing (Ai / EPS).
If you need assistance, MLD will forward your email onto Melbourne Merch staff, who will assist you with your design process, in readiness for final approval.
If your Club registers players after your initial order is submitted, teams can do top-up orders for any new players registered anytime throughout the year.
Jersey Surname, Number & Shorts:
Each player will have their Surname on the back of their jersey, with a number from 1 – 99.
We advise each team orders a minimum of 2 Sub Jerseys – no name, number 1 – 99.
Each team will wear the same colour shorts. If playing in more than one team, only a jersey will need to be purchased for the additional team ($50 per extra jersey).
PRODUCTION TIMEFRAME:
- Club Apparel (T-Shirt, Singlet, Hoodie, Jumper): 7 – 10 business days from design approval and payment made to Major League Dodgeball.
- Playing Kits (Sublimated Jersey & Shorts): 15 – 20 business days from design approval and payment made to Major League Dodgeball.
