Madison Square Garden To Host 2018 World Cup

The World Dodgeball Association has officially announced Madison Square Garden as the host venue for the 2018 World Cup in New York, USA.

The World Cup will be staged from August 3 – 4, 2018 in what is anticipated to be the biggest Dodgeball event to grace the planet. The top nations will earn the right to participate in each of the Men’s, Women’s and Mixed categories.

The WDA has done a fantastic job in working with affiliated National Bodies and partners, to promote, govern and commercialise the sport to new audiences across the globe.

In 2017, we will see multiple World Cup qualifying events across four different continents. These include, African Cup of Nations, Americas Cup, Asia Pacific Championships and European Championships.

Prior to New York, the Australian Dodgeroos will travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to participate in the Asia Pacific Championships from September 29 – October 1, 2017. The Dodgeroos will look to defend their titles as Asian champions, following their success in Melbourne, 2015.

We look forward to being involved in this prestigious event, and wish our Australian Dodgeroos the best of luck on the road to New York.
