MAJOR LEAGUE DODGEBALL PRESS RELEASE
Major League Dodgeball would like to formally announce its affiliation with the national governing body, Dodgeball Federation Australia (DFA).
The DFA is an official affiliate member of the World Dodgeball Association (WDA) and the Asian Dodgeball Federation (ADF). The WDA currently comprises of 52 member nations from several different continents across the globe.
The WDA international status has seen the body grow in an upward trajectory over the past 12 months. Several tournaments have been conducted, including a highly success European Championships hosted in Austria 2014.
Other massive events loom, including the inaugural Manchester World Cup in February 2016, where our Australian teams – The Dodgeroos – will be eyeing to qualify for the tournament through the Asian Championships in July, 2015. The DFA is currently bidding to host the event, which is quite exciting for our local players.
We also look forward to the new Australian League – Premier League Dodgeball Australia (PLDA), which is set to launch in 2015.
