2021 Uni Dodgeball League

Following the recent hiatus of University sport, Dodgeball Australia is ready to hit the ground running again in 2021 with an all-new Uni Dodgeball League season! The success of the inaugural season in 2019 will see an expanded campaign this year, beginning in May, with the season culminating with a Finals Series in October.

The 2021 University Dodgeball program is proudly endorsed by UniSport Australia – the peak governing body of University sport in Australia.

SEASON FORMAT:
– Six round season scheduled, followed by a Finals Series
– Teams scheduled to play two scheduled matches per round
– Rounds will be hosted across different University campuses throughout the season

SEASON DATES (Current Dates. Uni venues to be confirmed):
Round 1: Sunday, May 16
Round 2: Sunday, June 13
Round 3: Sunday, July 4
Round 4: Sunday, July 25
Round 5: Sunday, August 15
Round 6: Sunday, September 5
Finals Series: Sunday, October 3

BALL TYPE:

Foam (6-Balls)

GENDER:

Mixed Competition – maximum of 4 players that identify as a male on court, at any given time (maximum of 6 players on court). Subs are also permitted, with any gender mix.

For example, of the 6 players on court, a team could have – 3 athletes who identify as male, 1 athlete that identifies as a female, 1 transgender athlete and 1 athlete that identifies as non-binary.

REGISTRATION: Universities from across Australia can submit multiple teams in the competition. There is a cost per team, per round which can be paid each round or in full. Teams need to commit each round and the finals series, if qualified.

Teams located outside Victoria, will have an altered fixture, playing multiple matches per round to cut-down on the travel and expenses during the season. For example, a University from Brisbane may play all their matches across two rounds.

Friday, May 7

ROUND-FEE:

$130 per round. Includes two matches each round.
