Club Development Pathway
The ADPL is excited to launch a new Club Development Pathway, designed to assist brand-new Clubs and players enter the ADPL system in Victoria.
This initiative allows new Clubs to register in the ADPL under a unique set of guidelines. This structure will help new Clubs be involved in the ADPL system, without having to enter three teams in their first season.
This blueprint is designed to help new clubs establish themselves in their first year, while giving them time to build their player base, and plan accordingly to expand in the coming years.
Criteria | Club Development Pathway:
First Year:
- Clubs are required to enter at least one of the following divisions – Men’s, Mixed and / or Women’s.
- Maximum Australian Dodgeroos Cap is 1 point per club under this system (only Clubs who have three teams will be permitted to have the full Dodgeroos cap).
- Clubs must be actively looking to promote their Club, and look for initiatives to build their awareness. An example is having an active account/s via social media.
Second Year:
- Clubs must register in at least two of the following divisions – Men’s, Mixed and / or Women’s.
- Maximum Australian Dodgeroos Cap is 2 points (only Clubs who have three teams will be permitted to have the full Dodgeroos cap).
- Failure to have at least two teams will prohibit the Club from playing in the top division. If there is a second division, the club will be permitted to play in this division.
Third Year:
- Clubs must have teams in each of the three divisions – Men’s, Mixed and Women’s.
- Failure to have at least two teams will prohibit the Club from playing in the top division. If there is a second division, the club will be permitted to play in this division.
Club registrations for the 2018 ADPL season close Friday, February 16. To register your interest, CLICK HERE.
Division 2 | Development League:
There will also be an opportunity for Clubs to register for the Division 2 competition over the coming months.
The purpose of this league, is to continue the growth of the ADPL, increase the talent pool and create further pathways for players. More opportunities will be granted to players new to the game, or those wishing to play at a level more suited to their ability.
